Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a widely studied and evidence-based treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related symptoms. Research has shown that CPT is highly effective in reducing PTSD symptoms, with studies indicating that individuals often experience significant improvements in their emotional well-being, anxiety, and distress. The therapy has been shown to help individuals process trauma in a way that reduces the negative impact on daily functioning and helps change harmful thought patterns associated with traumatic memories. Numerous clinical trials have supported the efficacy of CPT, and it is recommended by organizations like the American Psychological Association and the Department of Veterans Affairs as a first-line treatment for PTSD.
Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD and anxiety disorders, with a robust body of research supporting its effectiveness. PE helps individuals gradually confront and process distressing memories and situations, which leads to a significant reduction in PTSD symptoms, anxiety, and avoidance behaviors. Studies consistently demonstrate that PE helps individuals better manage their trauma-related triggers and reduces the emotional and psychological distress tied to traumatic memories. It is considered one of the most effective treatments for PTSD, supported by extensive research and clinical trials, and is endorsed by leading mental health organizations such as the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

Play Therapy: "The Association for Play Therapy (APT) defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development. More simply put, child play therapy is a way of being with the child that honors their unique developmental level and looks for ways of helping in the “language” of the child – play. Licensed mental health professionals therapeutically use play to help their clients, most often children ages three to 12 years, to better express themselves and resolve their problems. Play therapy works best when a safe relationship is created between the therapist and client, one in which the latter may freely and naturally express both what pleases and bothers them".
