Our Beginnings
Matthew G. Strobel, Psy.D., established Navesink Psychological Services to fill a void in the local mental health community that he became aware of while working as a school psychologist. Dr. Strobel was often asked by families to refer local therapists who could extend the support he provided in the school setting to after school hours. He was honored that families trusted his opinion and found that while he had often helped their children in school, he was often at a loss for referrals for qualified providers in the community. Dr. Strobel, licensed to provide these services himself, established Navesink Psychological Services to provide a resource to families who experienced difficulties that reached beyond their school day. Navesink Psychological Services is pleased to be able to provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, support and guidance to families negotiating the special education process, as well as evaluations for learning disabilities and other concerns.
